Swimming off the Bonita

As well as the marvellous trip to the Desertas islands, the Bonita da Madeira sails along the coast past the airport and to a wonderful little bay. This is the Baia d'Abra, stunning vulcanic rocks, turquoise sea and so peaceful.

We saw bottlenose dolphins on the way out and had a homely Madeiran lunch complete with Pudim de Maracuja.

No. I didn't swim alongside the youngsters. But I did go in the sea when we got back to the hotel.
