the last roll

First of all, condolences to those in Nice.

No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

from Devotions upon Emergent Occasions, John Donne, 1624

This blip shows my last roll of film.  I had such plans for it, but other things distracted me.  The expiry date is 2013.

The camera lurking behind has no obvious expiry date, other than a lack of something to record an image on.  It’s a Nikkormat FT2 and is over 40 years old.  It will probably see me out.
