I went to visit my farmer friend Samuel today and on the road to his house, a large turkey crossed the road followed by five baby turkeys.  The babies disappeared quickly in the tall grass and the Momma kept popping up her head to see if I was still there with my camera!
After having a chat with Samuel, asking his permission to take photos of his farm and animals (and if he was interested in a baby crib we no longer need here at the lake), shooting a few shots of his calves, I drove down a road and over a little hill and there was a broad field of corn and a rainbow. (see extra)  I stopped the car to take some shots and just then my husband called to ask if I had the TV on (he thought I was home) and I told him, "no, I am out taking photos of cows and rainbows...." It was then he told me about the horrible terrorist attack in Nice, France.  My heart is aching for the French people and for all of us....
