The Tear
This polished metal sculpture in the Abbey Gardens, Bury St Edmunds, stands in memory of the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust (Europe, WW2) and subsequent genocides elsewhere in the world.
Yesterday's abstract was taken with the camera held at the very top of the tear-shaped artwork, looking straight down. The reflections were of course, on the outside of the solid artwork, not inside a hollow space.
Today's pictures of my reflection, camera in hands, taking photographs from a different POV, may help to explain the extreme distortion in the abstract impression.
Thanks so much, everybody, for all of your comments and ingenious guesses.
