Breakey Blips

All rugged up

It was a beautiful day when we travelled through the Lewis Pass on the South Island.

The kids were delighted and intrigued by frozen ponds and the heavy coating of frost on everything that was still in the shade after midday.

I finished my thick winter jumper on the plane to NZ. I reknitted the neck 4 times before I was happy with it. The last time, the whole garment had been sewn up, so I needed to use 4 needles to knit in a round.
Only problem was finding suitably sized needles at 8pm at night whilst packing to go to NZ. Solution : craft dowels and a pencil sharpener.

I am finally happy with the result. It is really warm and cosy.
Here's the blip on the day that I started. So blithe and ignorant of how life was going to really test my marriage vows.
