Wallace Monument

Catching up with friends and family continues...
I finally visited the Wallace Monument! I have be been past this tower for over 40 years and never managed to visit it.
So carpe diem!

It was built by Victorians to celebrate one of the Scottish heroes of the middle ages, William Wallace. I was really aware in these times of that phrase that one man's freedom fighter is another's terrorist.
