At Sea

Took the boats out to North Berwick for a paddle today. The wind was blowing on shore and we headed out in to it along the coast and then across to Fidra. We had a lunch stop on Fidra, much to the annoyance of the gulls. They settled down once they realised we weren't venturing away from our boats. Paddling back to North Berwick we had the wind behind us. Slightly easier going but a little nerve wracking as the kayaks surf the waves. We were lucky enough to spot a puffin bobbing around on the sea just ahead of us.
This was a trip that was better in hindsight than at the time. It was quite hard going, but good experience!
