Guess the pub name?

They decided to take the plaster off this pub in Llanidloes, Powys.

They were probably slightly suprised by what they found.

The original structure is clear to see.

They haven't replastered it and I think there's probably some good reason related to its structure that's currently preventing this.

Anyway, it's still serving beer!

We cycled along the Montgomery Canal from Newtown to Garthmyl and the Nags Head where a refreshing drink was obtained and then cycled back, just avoiding most but not all of the rain.

Incidentally, Llanidloes has the only surviving timber framed market hall which still stands high street.

They used to be very common, apparently..!
