Australian Pipers

A lovely sunny morning but clouded over for a bit, it soon cleared again and more sunshine :) 

I had a great night out with friend Nik and others.  Early start but thankfully I had the times wrong and wasn't travelling until the late afternoon.  This gave us a chance to explore the Hervey Bay area.  A walk along the Esplanade and breakfast in the morning, along with a look at the market too.  We later went for a run in the car to Howard, looking for the old mining industry but no joy.  Boarded the plane and arrived in Sydney this evening, onwards to Perth and staying with aunt Carol and family. 

Whilst walking around the market this morning, I heard a familiar sound that I wasn't expecting to hear, bagpipes :)  The guys seemed to be Australian, wonder if they are from Scottish stock?  They certainly pulled a crowd as they walked towards the stalls.  Taken along the Esplanade, on the Hervey Bay waterfront at Torquay, Queensland.
