Symmetry at St Davids
On Friday evening we had the car packed ready to hit the road straight from work. Destination the SW tip of Wales, 5 hours away. We got there late but excited by the prospect of going over to the island of Skomer on Saturday to see the array of wildlife but in particular puffins.
Our lovely B&B had a great arrangement whereby they fetched the boat tickets (not pre bookable) and allowed us a leisurely breakfast. The plan was great the weather was not !! No boats today, sorry was the first greeting at breakfast. Oh well there's always tomorrow we said, yes but the forecast is the same tomorrow as well, better on Monday (the day we leave) but Monday is boatmen day off.
Disappointed we went off to see the wonders of the Pembrokeshire coastline. However the mizzle and mist prevented that too so we landed up with plan C, going to St Davids, GB's smallest city and looking around the wonderful cathedral and ruins of the bishops palace.
Hoping, but not expecting better luck tomorrow.
