After the rain

After so much rain yesterday the river in front of the cottage was running very high and fast.

Behind the cottage is the Tanygrisiau station on the Ffestiniog narrow gauge raiway. Walk a short way along and you come to a wonderful waterfall, also swollen by the recent rains. As is often the case the small side parts of the waterfall are much more photogenic than the large fast running drop. If you went to the main viewpoint this side piece wouldn't be seen, you had to walk on a little for it to be revealed.

We had a trip to Porthmadog today, going from our "local" station and then on the return trip we upgraded to Pullman class and came back in luxury, with wonderful views. The 2 extras are from the stopover at Porthmadog.
