It's a baldy bald life!

An early start! Rosemary is in Switzerland for a race so I could make as much noise as I wanted this morning.

It was raining heavily so I stayed in bed and did my pre-holiday job! I cleared out my entire email inbox so that nothing was missed before I went. That took several hours by which time the rain was off. I jumped on the bike to Haymarket, then onto a train. The journey flew by, with me reading a few papers.

It was sometime before I knew it as I'd had 3 back-to-back Skype meetings. Poor Dave at TrainingPeaks. My day had been an intellectual one and I downloaded the contents of my brain to him and even showed him my schematic with a tree in the middle of it!

Typical, on leaving the office, I chatted to the boss for a few minutes too long and had to smash it through Bridge of Allan to catch the train. I literally had to ride onto the platform to catch the thing. I read another few papers, alighting in Edinburgh and then it was a pedal down to Porty for a swim.

There was no one from the tri-club there so it was just as well I had pinched Rosemary's orange float. The tide was a high one and the strong wind was kicking the waves up. I saw quite a few jelly fish and an amazing little crab who I'm sure was checking me out as much as I was checking him out......wee things like that make me happy!

Back down to earth though when I turned at the 3rd groyne as both the tide and wind were against me. Gotta say I felt a bit exposed out there but it very special too. I love the sea and didn't realise how much I missed it when in Manchester. I'm a big jessie normally, not liking heights or travelling fast but it feels so natural to be in open water on my own.

Then it was a cycle home and I managed to get a few wee photos too!
