Achievement

Our final day of sailing which brought the good news that we had all passed out RYA Yacht Master Learn to Sail Level One and Level Two.  I am really pleased as it is something I never imagined I would achieve.

On this last day of sailing we took the yacht out without our instructor and sailed to the southern end of the lake, moored up for lunch, then sailed back. For lunch we took our favourite mooring in a sheltered bay lined with fields and trees. House martins swooped over the water to catch flies and a few fish jumped out of the water. It was so peaceful sitting there looking back across the hills and fields, just watching the world go by.

It felt a long drive home, not helped by roadworks on the M6. As I arrived home at 9pm the big orange sun was setting over the leafy Hampshire landscape - a rather idyllic welcome home!
