Mote Lake in the late evening

I've posted a blip of this scene before but each time I pass by the view is different. Tonight, the soft light of the setting sun creates a tranquility often lacking in the frenzied world outside the park.

I'd been into town for a meal with my son Matt to catch up on the news from the past months. A very enjoyable evening it was too. Good to see him.

Earlier we'd been at the allotment continuing to tame it after our couple of weeks away. Looks much more presentable now. Before that we'd been on a morning walk around the village of Otham, it made a pleasant change from our usual haunts in Mote Park and the golf course.
