Chariots Of Fire

Poppy's sports day today. There was a lot of sitting around in the cold while the children did their throwing and jumping events. Poppy took part in the long distance and made the age-old mistake of going off too quickly. After one lap of the field she was absolutely pooped and ended up going from first to fifth.She made up for it in the sprint relay, though where her team came in first.
More excitement for Pops tonight where she will be playing the drum roll intro to 'God Save The Queen' at the opening of the school fayre. Hopefully she won't go off too fast on that one!
