Jackdaw in Mugdock

When I lived in Glasgow I frequently walked in Mugdock, a park of moorland and ancient woods north of the city. I had a good walk there today though it was a bit hot and close. I thought it might be late to hear a cuckoo but I might still see one...minutes later I saw a male flying- too far for a photo though. I saw a flower which I though might be white helleborine but the books suggest Greater Butterfly Orchid. It is on the extra shot. Opinions welcome.
