My friend Asa
Today I spoke at my friend Asa's memorial service. We still cannot believe that she is no longer with us. She is one of my group of 5 college friends who I meet up with regularly. I have blipped us on a number of occasions. Now we are 4.
Asa's sister was over from Sweden and told me that she found the idea of a memorial service a comfort as they do not have this sort of service there.
We heard wonderful memories of this funny, creative, stylish friend from her sons, granddaughter, teaching colleagues, pottery chum (and me, remembering our college days and the many time we five friends have met over 37 years).
