Hell or High Water
I did say we would BBQ today not matter what the weather did so, while I was away yesterday, Marlane did all of the salady type stuff making coleslaw, tabouli type salsa, new potatoes etc.
After we attended two nephews first communion this morning we had a gathering at Prinknash Abbey, which is why I went there on Thursday to deliver cakes and biscuits that we'd made,
Left at 1400 to come home and prepare the BBQ. Weather was dry but cloudy at the time but as soon as I struck a match to light the BBQ the rain started. Not too heavy but I erected a sunshade to protect us while cooking. Our friends had arrived and Ian came out to help me with the BBQ. He was a great help to be honest and gave me some of his BBQ wisdom to store away for when I'm doing it on my own next time :-)
Now sitting doing my blip, tired, falling asleep as I type, but nothing to do for the rest of the evening (except get a shower as I smell of BBQ smoke!).
