Montbretia

Crocosmia This striking plant is known as Montbretia in the UK and in America I believe it is known as either Copper Tips or Falling Stars. I prefer the American version best.
It is grown world wide and there are over 400 species including many hybrids.
I took this shot in a neighbours front garden, we had the orange one in our back garden but had to dig it out because it was growing absolutely everywhere just like a weed. However, they do say a weed is just a flower or a plant in the wrong place.
