I'm a bit paranoid about data and these hard drives have been sitting in a cupboard since I replaced my desktop computer and took the old one to the tip. Who knows what important details of my banking and accounts they might have on them. I wiped them fairly thoroughly at the time but whether the data was irretreivable I don't know. However, after the news over the last couple of days, taking the sledgehammer to them was quite therapeutic .
