Tour de Manx with bro
I'd left the curtains open last night so that I could enjoy waking up to a sea view! At half five I woke and it looked glorious, clear blue sky. But a couple of hours later, it had clouded and rain started. Still stunning to wake up to. The view looks out to Ireland and you can just make out mountains on the horizon.
Fortunately mum wasn't too hungover after her performance last night. I did have to fill in a few blanks for her though!
Tea, bacon sandwich and we watched the start of mark cavendishs quest for gold. In Douglas here there are good luck posters of him, him being a local lad.
Bro took us into Douglas, and the sun came out. On the way out of Douglas we spotted this fella, (my pic), and went into the field to see what it was. At least 35 ft tall, put up for the Mannifest, festival.
We then went off to Peel, and sat on the sea front for a coffee. There we also visited the kipper man to buy smoked kippers for breakfast tomorrow. Bro also bought fresh queenies caught the night before.
Off then to niarbyl a lovely little cove. I took photos here but the rain came in.
Off to port Erin were we walked across the beach to the cosy nook cafe for afternoon tea, scones and jam. Beautiful!
A top day, and topped off with a fab meal at the waterfall pub, queenies for starter and then seafood medley for main! Delicious!
Back to bros for a few drinkies and lots of laughs!
