Growing old disgracefully

SPINNING A YARN

Emergency blip - is there another kind in this journal?  Leaving the Mill after this evening's Advisory Group meeting - what a fine bunch of folk to spend time with. I really must spend time photographing these exhibits properly.

Up at 6 am, worked for almost two hours in the garden, then spend some time with my son and heir - always a pleasure.  He strimmed for me and lifted heavy stuff. I hate thinking of leaving the garden at this time of year - but it is it's own thing and will do it's own thing without me.

I'm not spinning a yarn when I say life in the Mackenzie/Milburn extended family resembles a Shakespearean play this week; all 'alarums and excursions'*.  We are the calm centre of the storm.
