A bit surreal
It's been a warm and muggy day today which may well explain the 'diva' behaviour that Bailey was obviously exhibiting according to his dog walker.
Mine has been a day of being busy and finally teaching for the first time this week. Several jobs are shifting on apace which has made for a more satisfying day than most of the others this week. Y9 repeated their fire drill in a much more satisfying fashion too first thing this morning. It was nice to be in front of my Y10s this afternoon with a brief referendum discussion before we got back onto The Merchant of Venice. And then an interview with a surprising outcome which means that I will be doing things a bit differently come September, for the first two terms at least.
I came home via the supermarket for cake for some training tomorrow afternoon and then to vote. As surreal an experience as ever. Our polling station is still in someone's house but has moved down the road and around the corner. I voted in someone's kitchen instead of a porch and I doubt there are many ballot boxes in the country that were being used as a side table for someone's ready meal...
