Harassment
Day three of not doing any teaching but not having a spare minute. A planning meeting this morning with an English department colleague on our assessment scheme. It made a nice change to be focusing on my subject and to be working with someone that I haven't worked so closely with before. We were very productive and made a good team, I reckon.
Released to do more options based stuff this afternoon and it continues to frustrate. Although nowhere near as frustrating as what should have been the last 7 minutes of the school day when the fire alarm went off and the student population of the school were more concerned about what time it was than following their usual practice or listening to the fact that there was actually a (small) fire to be dealt with. A mutiny was narrowly avoided but my year group will be repeating the process tomorrow morning.
A directive for all to leave site with the alarm deactivated could only be followed once we'd dealt with two sets of mothers and daughters but I did get away eventually.
A supermarket trip before home to Bailey and then some prep for an interview tomorrow. Bailey provided background entertainment by harassing his chipmunk (well, I think that's what it is...)
