Falmouth Harbour
Now we are in Falmouth, Cornwall, for a short break. This is part of the view from our room. We are actually opposite the village of Flushing where a little boat ferries people across from side to side. Falmouth is the third deepest natural harbour in the world and has a very long maritime history including Henry VIII and later the Spanish Armada. It is also the port from where the packet boats used to sail across the world.
The seagulls are very cheeky and there is a nest in the old chimney pot just above our window - see extra photograph. This bird just sat on our balcony railing just looking at us!
