'Meet The Orchestra'

We took the kids out to 'Meet The Orchestra' this afternoon. It was a special performance performed by the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra for children to learn all about the orchestra, the different groups of instruments, their names and to get up and close to the players. They even had 6 or 7 kids get up from the audience to learn how to conduct.

We heard everthing from the theme to 'The Simpsons' to 'Lord of The Rings', with lots of childrens songs and nursery rhymes.

D's music teacher Daniel plays the trumpet for this orchestra (trumpeter on the right, just next to the slide trombone player).

I think I might have enjoyed the performance more than the kids. It's been a very long time since I've heard an orchestra playing live.

Thanks for arranging the day Mrs Rosewarne.

Looks good LARGE

Almost blipped today, but the orchestra was more relevant
