D-Day for England
Today is the day to vote in the long awaited referendum - this morning I took Adam and Luke down to the polling station, where we all voted, it being the first time for Adam. I said yesterday it was the first time for both boys, I forgot that Luke voted in the last election. It is a day of such critical importance for the UK, and I feel it is particularly so for England because if the result of the referendum is to leave the EU I fear that will be the start of the break up of the UK. So a red rose today for England!
I will remember this summer as the summer of storms. Last night driving home from Kent the storm broke as I left and within minutes there were huge pools of water on the M25 and by the time I got home the roads were quite flooded. My bumper sensors were sounding due to the high level of water, despite being in a 4X4 vehicle which is higher off the ground. Today it has been drizzly, grey, and so humid - then we had a patch of bright skies with some sunshine but at the moment it is storming again with thunder and rain lashing down. What has happened to our lovely temperate climate?
