The War On Orchard Lake
Another day of Merit Badges.
Today, instead of going to lunch and signing up for something during Open Program, we went on a hike with Brother Larry. We journeyed down the old road along the side of the lake toward the dam. When we arrived at the dam after hiking along the old road into camp for about 30 minutes, we stopped to eat lunch. We continued onward towards the old gate that blocks the old entrance to the camp. We ran into a skunk, but it left us alone. We bushwhacked the way back along the steep slopes next to the creek. We got back to camp just in time to make it to our afternoon Merit Badge classes. We kayaked for a little bit before it began to thunder and we had to get out. After dinner tonight, Nick and I headed to the lake to watch the War on Orchard Lake. We talked with a bunch of camp counselors, and ended up walking with Nick (the counselor) to the SAC (Staff Alumni Center) to watch them "Sweatin' to the Oldies" with Richard Simmons. It was hilarious! We talked to the camp commissioner, Jeremy, for a bit before heading back to camp and calling it a night.
