Beside the seaside.

After a problematic journey, we made it to Whitby. We swung by my in-laws on the way to drop off a father's day card, then encountered various delays, including a road closure (I assume... the oncoming traffic were flashing at me and gesturing for me to turn back!) and a signpost that had been shifted round on its post so it pointed the wrong way! We got to Whitby mid-afternoon and promptly ordered a glass of wine, some oysters and a half lobster and fries (me) and fish and chips (hubby). I think we'd earned it! We lazed around Whitby for a bit, then went to our lovely B&B to check in (The Belfry), before heading out for more seafood and wine. A fab day.
