Birthday meal
I'm playing catch up again, following a busy weekend of working hard and playing hard.
Friday I didn't do too much work, as I've been putting in lots of hours over the past couple of weeks, and knew I'd be also working hard on Sat. I went to see my friend Cathie in the morning - it was her birthday on Sat and we were going out for tea Fri night, but her present was huge, so I needed to drop it at her house rather than take it out to tea. I got her a large print of a shot I took of Robin Hoods Bay... Cathie had mentioned to me some time ago that she would love a picture of the bay, one of her fave places, and I'd tried to get one last time I was out that way. Sadly the Yorkshire weather was against me then - it was so foggy you could barely see 10 meters ahead! So last time I went camping on the east coast, I made a point of going over in the evening to catch the nice light. She was really pleased with it.
I then went home and did a few urgent work bits, before getting ready and heading out to meet people. We had a few drinks (just two pints of local ale for me, as working Sat) and went for tea to a new place in Leeds which does east asian street food. It was great and really different to things I've had previously.
