My Birthday

Not how I imagined I would be spending my birthday, but I guess having kids means things aren't how they used to be! We had free balloted tickets to a CBeebies event in a park with a 20 minutes live Mr Bloom show! All 4 of us trekked down to Kilmarnock and met H's Granny and Auntie E for a day in Dean Castle Country Park. The Mr Bloom show was really good, and we got really lucky with the weather - it was dry and mainly quite sunny. We sat on the (wet) grass to eat our picnic whilst H ran around like a maniac, and ran straight into Mr Bloom himself ha ha.
She got to see some bees making honey and taste some of it, and do an obstacle course before enjoying some ice-cream and a walk around the rest of the park. There were animals and ducks, and a couple of good playparks so H was happy.

Back to H's Granny's house for my birthday cake (Waitrose one - very nice!) before heading home for a quiet take away. It didn't quite go to plan as H has been quite clingy and needing a lot of attention since we had O, and she didn't want to stay overnight, so she came home with us and we didn't actually get to start our night until about 10.30pm! A take away from Tony Macaroni's and a bottle of pear cider - lovely.
