Beaches and bed bugs!
Woke up early and decided to go for a swim in the sea here before breakfast. The beach here is stunning and very sympathetically populated by obscure hotels, bars and restaurants. The other amazing thing is that the season has not really kicked off so we are faced with an empty beach which is very relaxing. We managed to walk the entire beach, to the end where the temple was an then made our way back again as the hot morning sun started to kick in. I somehow, managed to pick up a bit of a snivel so after breakfast the ?husband? went out for an explore and I read on our balcony.
He had hunted down a yogi so we were due to go there at 4.45 for a session to see what he was like. Paul described him as the ?stereotype? says he is 48 but looks about 19?.and he was right. He was also sporting a Leo Sayer, ?You make me feel like dancing? ?boof? hair do which was really cool in a very uncool kinda way.
We headed back to the beach for a spot of swimming and Paul picked up a very reasonable King Coconut (Rp 20) and slurped it down quickly. Lunch on the beach was idyllic?sand under feet, lovely dappled shade and sea rolling in just a few metres away.
Later we headed back to get changed for our Yoga session with Leo. Once we got to Leo he had quick chat and reassured us we only had to do what we wanted to do, don?t push it, you feel pain ? you stop etc etc. So we both totally ignored that and started to push ourselves as hard as we had in India. It was really interesting to see the difference in teaching styles, breathing, ashrams, pace and chanting. At least now we kind of know all the things we don?t know so it is good to get engaged properly this way. We had the session with Leo in his garden under a pagoda which was full of mosquitoes but we were fully deeted up so we okay. What I hadn?t planned for were some bugs in the cushions he gave us to lie/sit on. During the ?relaxation? bit I started feel something but by the time we got home my back was covered in hives.
Took two piriton and doctor white applied loads on anti-his but had a very uncomfortable night...boo!
