The Shortest Day

It is difficult to believe that today is the shortest day of the year. Where have the months gone to? I took a walk in the Wither Hills Farm Park very early this morning. I was hoping for a spectacular dawn sky but that was not to be. There was a very high cover of pale grey skies overlaid with menacing clouds scudding across from the north west. Heavy rain is forecast for the next few days. Sigh.... so much for getting the tar-sealing finished.
