Nightjar chicks

Having struggled to find subjects for blips on the last few days it made a pleasant change today to be totally spoilt for choice.

I have my brother, aka angellightphoto, to thank for this image of two nightjar chicks. Their mother featured on his blip on 12th July, and today he showed us the nest site. We were delighted to find that the chicks had very recently hatched.
