Reach for the sky

That is what the Olympic competitors are doing during the next fortnight, pushing themselves to their uttermost. I often wonder how many will suffer from athritis later on. Bindweed wraps itself round other plants, strangling and smothering them in the process the higher it grows. Our garden is full of it at the moment!

It was a late night as we watched the Opening Ceremonyand then a cow was bawling at dawn so not much sleep was had! T has been helping another farmer all day and we have work to do here too. We now wished we had cut more grass for hay or haylage earlier as it didn't rain when it was forecast. Too late now as the weather forecast is unsettled for next week and it must be dry for hay! Early to bed.
