Looking across the vineyards towards Chavignol

We have just been to the most anazing concert in the church at Sancerre. A choir called Mikrokosmos comprising 40 singers aged under 30 (today there were 26) singing acapella . Their voices were magical and i cannot find adequate words to describe how wonderful and emotive the singing was.

Now we are about to walk through the vineyards down to La Loire river for an evening meal in a pub called The Ship, owned by an Englishman! This has been recommended by the French couple who run our chambre d'hote, and it is in a lovely location, so hope the long walk will be worth it.
