Spectacular start!!

After all the negative press in the run up to the Olympics, the opening ceremony last night was spectacular!! Let's face it we Brits do these sort of occasions in style, we've had plenty of practice!!

This blip was taken off the TV; we weren't in the helicopter with the Queen and Mr Bond in order to get the bird's eye view!!

A late night and not much sleep, as the old brain was doing gymnastics.

P & R are off to Kathmandu this evening, P to start his second year and R to spend 4 weeks with him on holiday. Looking forward to seeing R's blips, especially as we visited in May and have a slight idea about the geography of the city and the way of life!!

So, I've had a day of doing bits and pieces in the garden and garage, nothing spectacular. It's about all the brain will cope with due to lack of sleep and that unsettled feeling I get until they have safely arrived in Nepal.

Looking forward to our first FaceTime and the opportunity to catch up on all the news :0)x
