The beginning of the end of an era

Today we received this card to say thank you from P & R for our activities last weekend. It may seem a strange choice of card, but there is significance.

Today I resigned from work, I have given 3 months? notice as I am retiring and need to hand over my responsibilities to specialist midwives.

I have spent 48 years working for the NHS and the last 24 years helping the Betty?s of this world to be able to laugh, sneeze, run after the kids, bounce on a trampoline etc without worrying about leaks.

I?m not giving up completely as I will continue to do a few hours a week working for a charity.

There are lots of interesting work events on the agenda before I retire, I plan to out on a high!! Watch this space!!
