Blipmeet

Met up with TrikinDave in the Lost Garden, where he talked me through what was going on in two of the hives he manages there. Although we didn't find the queen, I can now recognise a drone and was assured that the troublesome hive was now well on the way to being healthy: fascinating, thanks! His beekeeping posts will mean more to me now.

All this was a one of the distractions from all the housework which I ought to have got done before our guests arrive this evening. The other distraction was taking Miss L to her music theory exam---please let this be a pass after two failures!---shopping, and then ferrying her to meet up with a friend in Edinburgh.
