Sancerre

We are spending a few days in Sancerre, a beautiful mediaeval hilltop town renowned for its wine, in Central France.

The weather is awful, the same as at home, a bit of sunshine, then torrential rain and cold.

Tomorrow 2000 people will take part in a 35k run through the surrounding vineyards and into the town. That should be fun.

We are planning to walk through the vineyards to Chavignol where a goats cheese called Crottin de Chavignol is produced.

Rain is predicted all day without any sunshine.
