Alnmouth

It's just over three years since we spent a very happy week in Alnmouth with family and friends. We're back for the weekend with some other friends who I don't think have been to this lovely part of England. As a bonus, upon arrival we discovered that it's the Arts Festival weekend.

The best way to describe the weather is 'disappointing'. The pretty East Lothian, Berwickshire and Northumberland countryside was obscured by quite heavy rain. It's windy and chilly - but I think the weekend is forecast to be better. Here's hoping. And we're not camping!

Like everyone else I'm troubled by yesterday's awful event in which MP Jo Cox lost her life. What hate-filled discourse we seem to have unleashed.
