Rewarding day for the family at Ravensbourne College in North Greenwich today as grand-daughter Vittoria gets to show off her ambitious project work at the University’s Degree Show.
That’s her in the centre, along with yours truly, and her mother, Michelle, completing her three year Interior Design Environment Architectures degree course and now able to proudly add the BA (Hons) letters to her name, although the graduation ceremony will not be until November.
Her project was to design a health centre in Hackney.
 
She said: “With the increasing of the elderly population and the need to treat their illnesses, such as strokes, the site offers a physiotherapy centre to train their muscles and keep them active. On the other side the frequent need for checkups in the very young presents an opportunity to provide a pre-school facility which might function as a crèche giving the opportunity of an educational relationship between the two generations.”
