Nest Building.

The herons in Richmond Park are way ahead of this guy - their young  fledged weeks ago. This heron was really busy, flying  across the park, returning with building materials to the nest high up in the willow tree. 
Perhaps his young have fledged and he is just renovating the empty nest!
