Early morning dip.
Now the deer calves are a bigger their Mums are less nervous and I can get a bit closer to them.
Three of the four swan's eggs on the nest in the Hogsmill River have hatched - probably yesterday as the little cygnets are still very wobbly. I am not posting a photo as the nest is really tatty, surrounded by rubbish, and, more upsetting, slices of white bread. There are huge rats in the river, encouraged, no doubt by all the rubbish and food that has been chucked into the river. The rats are a real threat to the cygnets - the lone cygnet I posted a few days ago was the only survivor of thirteen cygnets - rats took the rest - so sad.
