Third Time Lucky
It has been a showery day, so we opted for a shortish walk around the forests and heathland quite close by, then had a brief stop and shop at Snape Maltings. Our walk didn't yield much in the way of wildlife - probably because it stuck to the wider rides which are frequented by dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. Oddly enough, we saw the most wildlife in an onion field - a Red-legged Partridge, a brown hare and our daily Marsh Harrier. As it was a pleasant evening we did a slight variation on our usual walk from the cottage. We saw Munjac deer, a fox, lots of rabbits, and this red deer doe -I've seen her twice before close to the same spot - the first time I saw only her rump, the second time just her ears, but this evening we got a much better view.
