Clustered Bellflower

Left Aberdeen and headed south. Stopped at St Cyrus nature reserve. Saw this wild flower, there were lots of them. There is a lovely beach and interesting countryside. Sea cliffs that are now quite a distance from the sea and evidence that the river mouth used to be there, but is no longer. The reserve building used to be the lifeboat shed. Amazing.

Went to Montrose Basin saw redshank, eider ducks, Female red breasted mergansers ( males have gone to Norway) sand martins.

Then headed home.
