Crossing Borders

After a good breakfast in Germany, we were soon over the border into Austria making our first stop of the day at Bregenz  where we took the cable car up Mount Pflander. First stop for the children was the playground whilst I admired the view over the green valleys on the edge of the alps and over Bodensee, when the cloud lifted. After a short walk we headed back down the mountain ready for a long cycle ride ahead, passing through the beautiful Rhine delta with it's backdrop of mountains we followed the meandering lakeside, refuelling with pizza by a quiet harbour. Our final meal of the day was Italian again, this time in Switzerland, having crossed another border late in the day. With around 50k covered today we were all pretty exhausted and ready for an early night.
