First fruits

These little trees nearly got chucked out when they looked like nothing but dead sticks in the middle of winter. Now we see the effects of the procrastinating gardener and the promise of some actual fruit.

A logistically challenging day to mark the start of a logistically challenging fortnight. Added to slightly by one of my neighbours making an emergency dash home to her family in the States. A couple of close calls but all seemed to pass smoothly.

A half decent day for the boy....some Albi playing, some Simpsons, some Kittens, and some general hanging out, including a long discussion about American gun laws (or the lack thereof) following the tragic events in Orlando this weekend. No connection with my neighbours' trip back that way but two different reasons for reminding us to keep the world in perspective, loved ones close and focus on the important stuff.
