Solitude

Early start and I was down on Our Beach more than a half hour before the sunrise. Indeed, I was back at the beachhouse by the time the sun came above the lowest clouds. I saw only one other person while I was out.

Spent the morning reading the agenda papers; broke for a lunch (at the Brick Bay winery) to celebrate the birthday of S' aunt (94). The lunch provided a welcome break, time with in-laws, and the opportunity to try, and buy, a very nice red wine. 

Then it was back to the reading. I've paused to post this and an extra before we drive back to Auckland.
