Ladies who lunch

I met up with the lovely Frankie (Pidge) and Naomi for lunch today.

Pidge was my nurse, but is on maternity leave at the moment; her little boy was born 4 weeks ago but she looks like she's never even been pregnant!

Nomi also used to work with me, but since the Boss changed his hours to an 8am start, she works with him now and has an earlier lunch break so I rarely get chance to catch up with her.

So we decided it would be nice to meet up for lunch and a good catch up.

We'd decided on the Fence Gate Inn as it was about halfway for us all. I got there for the agreed time of 2pm but Nomi and Pidge were running late, struggling to find a cash machine, so didn't arrive until 2.25.
We found a table, got a round of drinks then I went to ask how we ordered food.....only to be told they stopped serving at 2.30!!!!!!
Gutted. Pidge was mortified we'd missed the chance for food, but luckily there's another place nearby called 'Roaming Roosters', so we went there instead.

It was so nice to sit and chat, without having to rush back to work and the food was lovely too.

We've said we will have to do it again sometime soon.
